It was a pleasant trip, but the driver had little to say on the way up and had a habit of ''smoker's coughing' into the microphone while in transit. I took the precaution of checking out where the brakes were on the bus just in case he decided to keel over. Other than that he was quite jovial, as if he had indeed stepped out of an other era. Mount Wellington overlooks Hobart, affording some pretty good photo opportunities, and some free radiation thrown in :)
Short snippet of bus trip down the mountain. Oh yeah, and another anecdote. There was another bus driver that came before this one, because this one couldn't get the other bus to start. The other driver I nicknamed Mr Nasal Delivery because although the bus was scheduled to leave at 12:15pm, we watched at 12:10pm as he skarkered off, leaving us and two others (who turned up at 12:12) behind. Fortunately the depot was able to call him and he came back. He got his nickname from me for going off too soon! It's a short drive here, so you're better off doing it yourself if you have a car rather than using a tour operator.
